TMBG – Getting Back On Track

In case you were wondering how I am progressing with Teach Me Bass Guitar, I have essentially stalled out on Lesson 9.  For no good reason really, just a lot of procrastination on my part coupled with a busy life.  Fear not!  I have the last two weeks of December off and am confident that I can get back on track. I have been making progress, my slapping ability has improved quite a bit actually.  I just need to get back into a steady groove and push myself through lesson 9.   If you’ve been reading my blog you know I’ve gotten a new toy to play with, plus I am actively looking to get into a band situation, both of which should provide me with some much needed motivation.  I am still a firm believer in Roy & the TMBG course, and the reason I started this blog was to keep me going and so far it seems to be working.  My playing has improved so much in the last 14 months and I am excited to get back in the groove and take my playing to the next level.  Starting in January I plan to post weekly updates of my progress to help keep me on track.  With any luck I will wrap up lesson 9 by the end of the year and start off 2011 fresh with Lesson 10.  As always, I welcome your input, hit me up if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.  For now, Happy Holiday’s everyone!

  1. Don’t leave me hangin’! I just got a bass and combo amp for Christmas because my partner decided I should learn to play! I came across a Teach Me Bass Guitar review last night while looking for beginner’s tips and today I’ve spent the afternoon reading your blog. And now there you are, gone!

    Push on through lesson 10!!
