Flashback – Teach Me Bass Guitar Lesson 4

Lesson 4 of Teach Me Bass Guitar was where I decided to try to truly learn as much about music theory as I could.  Well, 8 lessons later and I am still trying to wrap my head around it all, but I do feel I have come a long way.  As with Lesson’s 2 and 3, I have recently been reviewing the theory concepts presented in Lesson 4 to shore up my knowledge.  I can’t stress enough the importance of spending the time to learn these key principles before moving on.  Doing so will greatly benefit you as you continue on through the course.

When I began this course the lesson book was provided as a PDF on one of the DVDs. While initially I thought this was a cool, “green”, idea, I came to realize that I was printing most of the material anyway.  Fortunately, about this time in the Teach Me Bass Guitar course evolution, the good folks at The Learning Dock decided to offer a spiral bound version of the book as an add-on feature.  I ordered a copy as soon as it was available and am so glad that I did.  While the PDF version is great to have and keep in your Dropbox folder, the printed book is nice to have in front of you while working through the lesson, especially the sheet music for the songs.  I am constantly referring to this book, it is such a great resource to have.
