Weekly Ramble 9/23/11

As you can see I have fully transitioned to the new theme and am very pleased with the results.  I will continue to make minor tweaks here and there, but overall I am happy with how it has turned out.  On the TMBG front, I nearly have “The Trouble with the Truth” down.  I’m still fumbling through a couple of the changes, so I’m probably about 95% there.  I’m hoping to clean up the finer nuances and wrap up Lesson 11 in the next week.  I’ve decided to take a week off from the TMBG lessons before starting lesson 12, and spend a good week just playing my Stagg EUB.  I haven’t been playing the Stagg much lately so I want to devote a few days to it and try to get into some sort of practice routine on it, so expect to see a post devoted to that.

Lucky me!  I get to spend my Friday watching Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey teach a workshop to college students and play a concert.  My boss asked me if I wanted to be the onsite manager for it, and of course I said yes.  Nothing like getting paid to do something you love.  I attended the same event last year so I know it will be great.  I’m hoping to get some pictures this year as well as have Victor sign my copy of The Music Lesson.  Going to be a good time for sure.
